Sags was happy the last time I saw him. He was with Bryce and Jess. And he was with his new friend, Andy. He was enjoying a warm fall day and the simple pleasures of life.

We all played 7,11, or doubles. I rolled to make Sags drink and had him going pretty good. Then I had to leave. Looking back, you might think I regret going, but in this case, not so much. Sags was happy the last time I saw him.

Sags was gay. This past spring he got it all out in the open, and that made him happier.

For his 23rd birthday, a group of friends took him to Town. After too many drinks and too many spectacles, I left by myself a couple hours before everyone else. Now, I regret going early.

Sags was a twin. He and his brother Matt turned 21 the summer before last. Not many people were in the area to celebrate, but a few friends got together in their parents' drive.

Tyson and I went. We all played a little beer pong on two fold-out tables. No one shot all that well. No one got too carried away. We talked about Matt's basketball career and Sags's track prowess. It was a good time. Matt and Sags were individuals, but they were good brothers.

Sags was a good friend. He once got me free admission to a basketball game at Bishop Ireton.

One night this summer we saw the Reds play the Nationals, my treat. Another night we caught the White Sox. And one other night he offered a ticket, but I worked late and declined. I regret not going.
